We are looking for an educator who enjoys working with high school students, can make science engaging and understandable, and is committed to helping students grow in both confidence and academic ability.
Liberty Oaks Academy is a small, individualized learning environment that serves students through a personalized and supportive approach. Our teachers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while providing strong academic instruction in a classroom setting.
The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and able to teach Chemistry in a way that is both challenging and practical. This teacher should be comfortable planning lessons, leading labs, assessing student progress, and creating a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, responsibility, and critical thinking.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching high school Biology in alignment with course standards and graduation requirements
Planning engaging lessons, activities, and labs that support student understanding
Maintaining a safe and structured lab environment
Communicating student progress clearly and professionally
Supporting students with varying learning styles and academic needs
Working collaboratively with the Liberty Oaks administrative team and staff
Maintaining accurate grades, lesson plans, and classroom expectations
Qualifications:
A strong background in Biology, Science Education, or a related field
Teaching experience preferred
Ability to manage a classroom with structure, professionalism, and care
Strong communication and organizational skills
