Marketing Manager Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Wisconsin?
Marketing managers in Wisconsin are not required to hold a state-issued license or sit for a state exam. The standard path is a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration, followed by several years of progressively responsible marketing roles. Many Wisconsin employers, particularly in manufacturing and financial services, favor candidates who have built experience across both traditional and digital channels before stepping into a management seat.
How much do marketing managers make in Wisconsin?
Marketing managers in Wisconsin earn a median of about $133,600 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $83,990 for the lowest 10% to over $211,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin marketing manager roles are posted by Dahl Automotive, Kohl's, and CNH Industrial and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Wisconsin's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional insurance carriers, and consumer brands means marketing manager openings appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes throughout the state.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
Milwaukee, Madison, and Menomonee Falls have the highest concentration of marketing manager openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads because it is home to major corporate headquarters and a dense cluster of financial, retail, and healthcare employers, while Madison's openings are driven by the university ecosystem, state government agencies, and a growing technology sector. Smaller markets on the list typically reflect the presence of one or two anchor employers or regional office hubs.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 64% of marketing manager openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on strategy, content creation, and digital campaign management that can be done off-site. Roles with the heaviest remote availability tend to be in content marketing, digital marketing, and brand strategy, while positions tied to in-store retail or event marketing remain more on-site.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or marketing specialist role at a Wisconsin employer, then advancing internally into management. Large Wisconsin-based consumer brands and insurance companies frequently hire new graduates into coordinator roles and promote from within. Building a portfolio of measurable campaign results, earning a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification, and targeting associate marketing programs at regional healthcare systems or Madison-area tech firms can accelerate the transition into a manager title.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current Wisconsin openings across industries and metro areas. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly. No sign-up is required to search available positions.
