A strong entry path is building experience in inside sales or account management at a Maryland-based technology, healthcare, or government contracting firm, then moving into national accounts. Certifications such as Certified Professional Sales Person or Salesforce credentials can strengthen a candidacy considerably.

National account saleses in Maryland earn a median of about $137,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,270 for the lowest 10% to over $257,350 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire national account sales professionals in Maryland?
Maryland national account sales roles are posted by GEICO, Amazon Web Services, and ITW and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Maryland's concentration of defense contractors, health insurers, and enterprise technology firms means national account roles here often involve long-cycle, high-value contracts with government-adjacent or regulated-industry clients.
Which Maryland cities have the most national account sales jobs?
Baltimore, Jessup, and Bethesda lead Maryland in national account sales openings right now. Baltimore anchors the market as the state's largest commercial center, with major employers in healthcare and financial services driving consistent demand, while Bethesda and Columbia attract technology and government contracting firms whose national account teams manage large federal and enterprise clients.
Are there remote national account sales jobs in Maryland?

About 100% of national account sales openings tied to Maryland are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely employers have accepted distributed sales teams. Strategic account planning, reporting, and client calls are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
