The Office Coordinator is responsible for a positive patient experience through enhanced clear, respectful, and effective communication throughout Freeman Health System by managing clinical clerical activities and staff within the assigned area of responsibility.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Days. 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Ensure office processes are compliant with state and federal regulatory activities, including, but not limited to, HIPAA, and all applicable health system regulations.
- Manage clinic scheduling and staffing.
- Ensure office and hospital charges and denials are processed daily.
- Participate in employee relations activities.
- Ensure appropriate payment collections.
- Train, coach and develop staff.
- Monitor ordering, usage and inventory of supplies and resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Requirements
- One to two years of customer service experience preferred and/or physician's office or hospital department preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
