Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Sales and Ops Planning - Commercial to join our team in Norman, United States. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of our integrated sales and operations planning processes, driving alignment between sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain functions to optimize business performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and operations planning strategies to enhance organizational efficiency and profitability
- Lead cross-functional teams to create accurate demand forecasts and align supply plans with business objectives
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards organizational goals
- Oversee the development and maintenance of sales and operations planning models, tools, and processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve customer service
- Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings, presenting insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Partner with IT to leverage technology solutions that enhance planning capabilities and data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in sales and operations planning, with a proven track record in leadership roles
- Deep understanding of sales and operations planning processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with sales forecasting, supply chain management, and strategic planning
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Relevant industry experience in manufacturing, retail, or technology sectors
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus
