About Us
Excavate Sports Bar is a new, high-energy sports bar featuring one of the largest LED viewing experiences in the area and a one-of-a-kind RC construction mud pit attraction. We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional to help us build efficient operations, train our team, and grow the business.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate daily bar and restaurant operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train bartenders, servers, hosts, and kitchen staff on service standards and best practices.
- Coach team members to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Review labor scheduling and recommend staffing improvements.
- Monitor food quality, beverage quality, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Analyze sales, labor, food cost, and beverage cost, and recommend ways to improve profitability.
- Assist with inventory controls, ordering procedures, and waste reduction.
- Provide guidance on promotions, game-day operations, and event planning.
- Conduct regular operational audits and provide written recommendations to ownership.
- Help establish accountability through KPIs and performance metrics.
- Work closely with ownership to improve revenue, guest retention, and operational efficiency.
- Be available for periodic evening and weekend visits during peak business hours.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sports bar, restaurant, or hospitality management experience.
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, food service, inventory management, and labor controls.
- Experience training hospitality staff.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify operational issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience improving sales and controlling operating costs is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Opening or managing a high-volume sports bar.
- Experience with Toast POS.
- Knowledge of beverage programs, promotions, and hospitality marketing.
- Experience creating SOPs and operational manuals.
Position Type
- Part-Time
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- Flexible schedule based on mutually agreed consulting hours.
- Approximately 10–20 hours per week.
