People Operations Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a people operations manager in Colorado?
Most people operations managers in Colorado follow a path that begins with a bachelor's degree in human resources or business, followed by several years in generalist or HR business partner roles. Colorado does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers consistently favor candidates holding SHRM or HRCI certification. Familiarity with Colorado-specific employment regulations, including the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and the FAMLI paid leave program, is increasingly expected.
How much do people operations managers make in Colorado?
People operations managers in Colorado earn a median of about $166,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $103,580 for the lowest 10% to over $276,380 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire people operations managers in Colorado?
Colorado people operations manager roles are posted by ADP, Amazon, and United Way and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's concentration of tech firms, defense contractors, and regional healthcare networks means openings appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Which Colorado cities have the most people operations manager jobs?
Denver, Colorado Springs, and Loveland have the most people operations manager openings in Colorado. Denver leads because it anchors the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, tech employers, and healthcare systems, while Boulder's startup and life sciences ecosystem and Colorado Springs' defense and government contractor base each sustain steady demand for dedicated HR leadership.
Are there remote people operations manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 55% of people operations manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on strategy, systems administration, and communication rather than on-site presence. Functions like HRIS management, policy development, and HR analytics translate most naturally to remote work, while onboarding and employee relations often require at least partial in-person availability.
How can I get hired as a people operations manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a people operations coordinator or HR generalist role first, then building toward a manager title. Large Colorado employers such as UCHealth, Centura Health, and Lockheed Martin run structured HR development programs and post associate-level HR roles that serve as a clear ladder. Candidates from adjacent roles in recruiting, office management, or payroll administration frequently make the transition, and earning a SHRM-CP or completing a SHRM academic alignment program at a Colorado university strengthens any application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to people operations manager jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to people operations manager jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Search for roles that match your experience level and location preference, then apply directly through each listing.
