Pricing Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a pricing analyst in New York?
Pricing analyst roles in New York do not require a state-issued license or registration, so the path runs through education and demonstrated analytical experience. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics, or a related quantitative field. New York's dense financial services and retail sectors mean candidates who build skills in Excel, SQL, and revenue modeling and target entry roles at large firms in Manhattan or Westchester are well positioned to break in.
Which companies hire pricing analysts in New York?
Employers hiring pricing analysts in New York right now include Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates, Bank of China USA, and Braze, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial institutions, global retailers, insurance carriers, and media companies means demand for pricing talent is consistent and spread across multiple industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which New York cities have the most pricing analyst jobs?
New York, Buffalo, and New York have the most pricing analyst openings in New York. New York City drives the bulk of demand through its concentration of banks, hedge funds, insurance carriers, and major retail headquarters, while White Plains and Melville reflect the suburban office campuses of large financial and consumer goods firms that maintain significant pricing and revenue operations outside Manhattan.
Are there remote pricing analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Pricing analysis is a desk-based, data-driven role that translates well to remote work, and about 41% of pricing analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The tasks most likely to be fully remote are financial modeling, competitive benchmarking, and reporting, while roles requiring close collaboration with sales or merchandising teams tend to follow a hybrid schedule.
How can I get hired as a pricing analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior or associate analyst role within the pricing, revenue management, or financial planning teams at large New York employers in financial services, retail, or insurance. Firms like large banks, insurance carriers, and consumer goods companies headquartered in the New York metro regularly bring in recent graduates for rotational or analyst-development programs. A background in adjacent roles such as financial analyst, data analyst, or business analyst, combined with SQL proficiency and a portfolio of pricing or forecasting projects, gives candidates a practical edge over applicants with credentials alone.
Where can I find and apply to pricing analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to pricing analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly from the listing.
