Product Marketing Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product marketing in Mississippi?
Product marketing does not require a state-issued license in Mississippi. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business communications, or a related discipline from an accredited institution such as the University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, or Millsaps College. Building a portfolio of product launches, campaign results, or go-to-market plans strengthens candidacy. Certifications from recognized marketing bodies such as the American Marketing Association are widely respected by Mississippi hiring managers.
How much do product marketings make in Mississippi?
Product marketings in Mississippi earn a median of about $100,940 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,790 for the lowest 10% to over $209,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product marketings in Mississippi?
Companies currently hiring product marketings in Mississippi include AnderCorp, CVS Health, and Sprint Mart, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's healthcare, energy, and agricultural processing industries are among the most active sectors for ongoing product marketing roles across the state.
Which Mississippi cities have the most product marketing jobs?
Jackson, Oxford, and Tupelo have the most product marketing openings in Mississippi. The Jackson metro anchors most of the demand, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, healthcare systems, and regional corporate headquarters, while Gulf Coast markets like Gulfport benefit from hospitality, energy, and logistics employers that maintain active marketing teams.
Are there remote product marketing jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and more than most fields, because product marketing work is fundamentally desk-based and output-driven. About 25% of product marketing openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how widely distributed the marketing function has become since distributed work became standard. Roles focused on content development, market research, and digital campaign management are the most consistently offered in a remote or hybrid format.
How can I get hired as a product marketing in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or marketing associate role at a Mississippi healthcare system, regional bank, or consumer brand headquartered in Jackson or Ridgeland. Employers such as Baptist Health Systems and Ergon Inc. have historically brought on junior marketing staff who rotate through product-facing responsibilities. Building a portfolio with even a single documented product launch, a competitive analysis, or a campaign report from a university project or internship gives a meaningful edge over candidates who apply with only coursework.
Where can I find and apply to product marketing jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to product marketing jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and focus area, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
