ABOUT US:

The Baltimore Research and Education Foundation (BREF) is a non-profit corporation that supports the mission of the Veterans Affairs Maryland Healthcare System (VAMHCS) by administrating and facilitating biomedical research and education endeavors, particularly those funded by non-VA sponsors. In this capacity, BREF employs research staff and provides other services for conducting clinical research at the Cooperative Studies Program Coordinating Center in Perry Point, Maryland (CSPCC-PP). The CSPCC-PP executes multicenter clinical trials and other types of research under the Dept of VA Cooperative Studies Program, as well as trials and research done under agreements with non-VA (external) funders.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This full-time in person position is for a Project Manager for the Cooperative Studies Program, Perry Point, MD. The incumbent will provide administrative support and coordination for multi-site clinical trials.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

· Manage all administrative aspects of the trial/study.

· Primary liaison between CSP, study sites, and Chair’s office.

· Oversee the trial timeline and ensure resources are available to meet project milestones.

· Assist the study Chair’s office with IRB application preparation, submission and follow up.

· Provides guidance to study sites and study Chairs on VA and FDA requirements. Ensure that CSP and study sites are complying with VA and FDA clinical trials regulations and guidance.

· Coordinate study meetings, including Executive Committee, Data Monitoring Committee, study wide and training meetings.

· Oversee the organization and maintenance of clinical trial documentation as required by VA, CSP and FDA regulations.

· Review informed consent documents to ensure compliance.

· Manage study budgets.

· Occasional travel is needed to attend study/center meetings, retreats, and/or center-wide training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

· Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.

· High School graduation is required; bachelor’s degree is required *

*Additional education may be substituted for required experience, and additional related experience may be substituted for required education

· Minimum of 1 year project management experience is required; clinical research project management preferred.

· Knowledge of GCP, ICH, and regulatory requirements

· Knowledge of aspects of clinical research projects form initiation to close-out.

· Experience and/or familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission preparations.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including anticipating needs and issues

· Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines

· Ability to work independently prioritizing assignments and getting work completed to meet set timelines.

· Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, federal agencies, and sponsored program personnel at other institutions

· Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

· Excellent reading, listening, editing, and analytical skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS

· Work will be performed in-person at the offices of the CSPCC Perry Point MD.

· 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday

· Pay is salary (exempt)

SUPERVISION

The position reports directly to the Associate Director of Operations. In the absence of the Associate Director of Operations, the position reports to the CSPCC-PP Director.

Pay: $68,013.00 - $106,982.00 per year
