Sales Intern Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales intern in Massachusetts?
Most sales intern positions in Massachusetts require current enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor's program, typically in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Massachusetts imposes no state-issued license for general sales interns, so the path runs through campus career centers, company recruiting programs at schools like Northeastern, UMass Amherst, and Boston University, and applying directly to internship postings. A strong GPA, a completed sales or marketing course, and any prior customer-facing experience give candidates a measurable edge.
Which companies hire sales interns in Massachusetts?
Companies currently hiring sales interns in Massachusetts include Jordan's Furniture, Trane Technologies, and Highgate, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of SaaS firms along the Route 128 corridor and life sciences companies in Cambridge and the Seaport means sales intern openings are especially consistent in those two sectors.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most sales intern jobs?
Boston, Wilmington, and Quincy have the most sales intern openings in Massachusetts. Boston drives the largest share because of its density of technology, financial services, and life sciences employers, while Cambridge adds significant volume from biotech and software firms headquartered near Kendall Square, and suburban Route 128 communities like Waltham and Woburn contribute openings from mid-size SaaS and medical device companies based there.
Are there remote sales intern jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than many other intern fields. About 78% of sales intern openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the inside-sales and SaaS-heavy nature of the market. The parts of the role most likely to stay fully remote are lead generation, email outreach, and CRM data work, while enterprise field sales and medical device support tend to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales intern in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured internship programs at Massachusetts technology and life sciences companies, which routinely recruit students with no prior sales experience. HubSpot's campus recruiting program and Thermo Fisher Scientific's intern cohorts are known entry points for candidates without backgrounds in sales. Joining a university sales club, completing a CRM certification, or holding any customer-facing job such as retail associate or campus ambassador provides the concrete evidence employers look for when no formal sales experience exists.
Where can I find and apply to sales intern jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to sales intern jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings updated in real time. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your field of study and availability, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
