Sales Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales in Utah?
Most sales roles in Utah require a high school diploma at minimum, though a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications strengthens your candidacy significantly. Utah does not issue a general sales license, but roles in real estate sales require licensure through the Utah Division of Real Estate, and financial product sales require FINRA registrations such as the Series 6 or Series 63. For general sales roles, building experience in customer service or inside sales is the most reliable entry path.
Which companies hire saless in Utah?
Companies currently hiring saless in Utah include AutoZone, Paychex, and ABB, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor around Lehi and Draper has drawn a high concentration of technology companies that maintain large, active sales organizations year-round.
Which Utah cities have the most sales jobs?
Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Saint George account for the largest share of sales openings in Utah, driven by the concentration of technology firms, financial services companies, and healthcare organizations headquartered or regionally based there, with smaller hubs reflecting the growth of direct-to-consumer and home services businesses that operate across the Wasatch Front.
Are there remote sales jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 31% of sales openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of modern sales work, particularly in software and financial products, can be done entirely from a home office. Inside sales, account management, and business development roles are the most consistently remote, while territory and field sales positions typically require in-person client visits.
How can I get hired as a sales in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role, which Utah's large technology employers use as a training ground for early-career candidates. Companies in Silicon Slopes regularly hire associates without prior sales experience and provide structured onboarding. Moving laterally from customer service or retail management is common, as those roles demonstrate communication and closing skills. Earning a HubSpot or Salesforce certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over others at the same experience level.
Where can I find and apply to sales jobs in Utah?
