This role works closely with the General Manager and sales management team to build a strong team, deliver a consistent customer experience, and meet the dealership's sales and profitability goals.
We're looking for a leader who is visible on the sales floor, develops managers and salespeople, and brings steady follow-through to daily operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and hold the sales management team accountable for consistent execution and results.
- Recruit, train, and develop salespeople and managers, building a team with strong product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Maintain an active presence on the sales floor, helping managers coach their teams, support customers, and close deals.
- Set and monitor goals for sales volume, gross profit, customer satisfaction, lead conversion, and Chevrolet performance objectives.
- Reinforce the Jerry Seiner "Steps to the Sale" and consistent follow-up through the dealership's CRM and sales processes.
- Establish a regular cadence for daily accountability, coaching, performance reviews, and save-a-deal support.
- Oversee sales operations, including desking, negotiations, deal structure, and coordination with the finance team.
- Forecast sales performance and communicate progress, opportunities, and challenges to the General Manager.
- Manage Chevrolet inventory levels and days supply; partner with the Used Car Manager on shared inventory and sales priorities.
- Work with the General Manager and marketing team on advertising, promotions, and lead-generation plans.
- Follow dealership policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

- At least 3 years of automotive sales leadership experience, with a record of developing people and improving dealership results. GSM experience or experience at a high-volume franchise dealership is preferred.
