What You'll Do:
- Create standard monthly journal entries (inter-company, standard reclassification and booking entries).
- Edits, obtains approvals for and posts monthly journal entries created by others.
- Prints and maintains month-end audit trail documentation.
- Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assists in the preparation of month-end reports.
- Coordinates and performs audits of general ledger accounts and accounts payable vendors as directed.
- Researches and responds to monthly P&L inquiry forms submitted by field personnel.
- Assists in general ledger report development and design and requested modifications.
- Assists in the maintenance of the fixed asset sub ledger.
- Updates and maintains standard accounting desk procedures/documentation in a centralized area.
- Serves as a standard back-up for banking report preparation and general treasury services.
- Assists controller and senior accountant as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) Payroll & HR software experience strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to work under limited supervision required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
