Nashville dominates because of its dense concentration of healthcare corporations, insurance companies, and professional services firms, while Memphis draws demand from its role as a global logistics hub and from large employers such as FedEx, and Knoxville benefits from the presence of the Tennessee Valley Authority and a growing advanced manufacturing base.

About 100% of strategy analyst openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader trends in corporate and consulting work. The most realistic entry path is applying to rotational business analyst or associate strategy programs at large Tennessee employers such as HCA Healthcare, which runs early-career development programs in Nashville, or financial institutions with Tennessee headquarters that hire for analyst associate roles. Adjacent roles such as financial analyst, operations analyst, or market research coordinator serve as common stepping stones.
