Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition intern in Tennessee?
Most talent acquisition intern roles in Tennessee require active enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, typically in human resources, business administration, or psychology. Tennessee does not issue a state license for this role, so no exam or registration is required. Employers at large Tennessee healthcare systems and corporate offices generally look for candidates who have completed at least one HR or organizational behavior course and can demonstrate interest through a related student organization, HR club membership, or prior administrative experience.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Tennessee?
Companies currently hiring talent acquisition interns in Tennessee include Olin Corporation, AmSurg, and Amrize, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of large healthcare networks, logistics headquarters, and regional corporate offices means intern programs here tend to be structured and run across multiple hiring cycles throughout the year.
Which Tennessee cities have the most talent acquisition intern jobs?
Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis account for the most talent acquisition intern openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its dense cluster of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and corporate headquarters, while Memphis draws volume from its logistics and distribution sector anchored by major freight and shipping employers, and Knoxville benefits from the presence of a large state university system and regional healthcare networks that recruit interns consistently.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and they are more common than in many other intern fields, since much of talent acquisition work involves digital sourcing, scheduling, and candidate communication that can be done remotely. About 75% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting growing employer flexibility in this function. Sourcing, employer branding projects, and data reporting tasks are the portions of the role most often performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition intern in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured internship programs at large Tennessee employers who recruit from in-state universities, particularly those partnered with University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt, or Belmont. HCA Healthcare and FedEx both run formal intern cohorts that accept candidates with no prior HR experience. Joining your campus Society for Human Resource Management chapter, completing a free SHRM student credential, or volunteering as a club officer with a recruiting or events function gives your application a credible edge over candidates with coursework alone.
