Territory Business Manager Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory business manager in North Carolina?
Most territory business manager roles in North Carolina require a bachelor's degree followed by field sales or account management experience, typically gained in an industry-aligned role such as pharmaceutical detailing, financial services, or B2B distribution. North Carolina does not issue a state license specific to territory management, but candidates targeting life sciences or medical device sales benefit from completing manufacturer or industry training programs. Building familiarity with North Carolina's major commercial corridors, from the Research Triangle to Charlotte, strengthens regional positioning with employers.
How much do territory business managers make in North Carolina?
Territory business managers in North Carolina earn a median of about $150,470 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $69,350 for the lowest 10% to over $297,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory business managers in North Carolina?
Employers hiring territory business managers in North Carolina right now include Syneos Health Commercial Solutions, サイネオス・ヘルス, and Landus, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. North Carolina's concentration of pharmaceutical, financial services, and industrial manufacturing companies means openings appear regularly at both large multinationals with regional offices and mid-size firms based in the Charlotte and Raleigh metro areas.
Which North Carolina cities have the most territory business manager jobs?
Raleigh, Greenville, and Hickory have the most territory business manager openings in North Carolina. Charlotte leads due to its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and logistics headquarters, while Raleigh's Research Triangle draws strong pharmaceutical and technology demand, and Greensboro's central location makes it a natural hub for industrial and distribution territory roles that need to reach customers statewide.
Are there remote territory business manager jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, but they're limited, because territory business management is inherently field-based and requires in-person customer contact across an assigned geographic area. About 100% of territory business manager openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and where remote flexibility exists it most often applies to administrative reporting, CRM updates, and internal sales meetings rather than the core field-facing work.
How can I get hired as a territory business manager in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an inside sales or sales development representative role at a North Carolina-based employer, which builds the consultative and pipeline skills that territory roles require. Companies with large commercial operations in Charlotte and the Research Triangle, including pharmaceutical firms and technology distributors, frequently hire associates or junior account representatives as a feeder into field territory positions. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, combined with demonstrable customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or clinical settings, gives candidates a competitive edge for these entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to territory business manager jobs in North Carolina?
You can find and apply to territory business manager jobs in North Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state including positions in Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, and surrounding markets. Find a role that fits and apply directly to the employer through the listing.
