Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and keeps clean work area for installation of equipment
- Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes
- Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
- Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support
- Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification
- Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads
- Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
- Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plans
- Installs Solar modules and racking per plans

Education
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

- 5 to 10 years of experience
- Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training

- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
- State-wide travel required
