Which consulting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Massachusetts?
The Big Four accounting and advisory firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, have established Boston offices and documented histories of E-3 visa sponsorship. Strategy firms including McKinsey, BCG, and Bain (headquartered in Boston) also sponsor E-3 workers. Beyond those names, technology consultancies and life sciences advisory firms in the Kendall Square and Route 128 corridors regularly file Labor Condition Applications for E-3 roles.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting E-3 roles in Massachusetts, particularly in the Financial District, Back Bay, and Seaport neighborhoods. Cambridge is a secondary hub, driven by life sciences and technology consulting firms near MIT and Harvard. Smaller concentrations exist in Waltham and Burlington along Route 128, where mid-size management and IT consultancies operate regional offices.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3 standard typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific, related field. In Massachusetts consulting, this covers management consulting analysts and associates, technology and IT consultants, strategy consultants, financial advisory roles, and life sciences regulatory or commercialization consultants. Generalist roles where no specific degree field is required may face greater scrutiny during the Labor Condition Application process.
How do I find consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by E-3 visa type, the consulting industry, and Massachusetts to see live job listings from employers who sponsor E-3 visas. Rather than sorting through postings that never mention visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship is a known part of the hiring process, saving Australian candidates significant time in their Boston-area consulting job search.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for consulting E-3 sponsorship?
Massachusetts has a strong attorney and immigration services presence in Boston, which means many larger consulting employers work with experienced immigration counsel familiar with E-3 processing. The state's concentration of university research and life sciences activity also means demand for specialized consultants is relatively consistent. One practical note: consulting firms that staff employees across multiple client sites may need to address worksite details carefully in the Labor Condition Application, which is worth clarifying with the sponsoring employer's HR team.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 consulting jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
