Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Massachusetts
Target the Route 128 and Kendall Square employer clusters
The Route 128 corridor and Kendall Square in Cambridge concentrate some of the highest densities of biotech, tech, and engineering employers in the country. These firms sponsor E-3 visas regularly and are familiar with the process.
Look beyond Boston to Worcester and Springfield
Secondary Massachusetts cities like Worcester and Springfield have growing healthcare and financial services sectors with employers who sponsor. Competition is lower outside Greater Boston, which can work in your favor during a job search.
Focus applications on specialty occupation roles with clear degree requirements
Massachusetts employers in life sciences and engineering typically post roles that require a specific bachelor's degree field, which directly satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation requirement. Generic roles with flexible degree requirements are harder to sponsor.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for E-3-friendly Massachusetts employers
Migrate Mate lets you search for E-3 sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts by industry and role type, helping you identify employers already familiar with the visa. Browsing by state saves significant time compared to applying blindly.
Research hospital systems and academic medical centers actively
Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's, and the broader Mass General Brigham network regularly hire international professionals in clinical, research, and technical roles. Academic medical centers often have dedicated HR teams experienced with visa sponsorship.
Check Labor Condition Application disclosure data to confirm employer sponsorship history
The Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure database lists every certified LCA by employer, job title, and state. Searching for Massachusetts employers with recent E-3 LCA filings confirms they've sponsored before and understand the requirements.

Which industries in Massachusetts sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Biotechnology, life sciences, and healthcare lead E-3 visa sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by the concentration of research institutions and pharmaceutical companies around Greater Boston and Cambridge. Information technology and financial services also generate consistent sponsorship volume, particularly from mid-to-large employers with established immigration programs.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston and Cambridge account for the majority of E-3 sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, with Kendall Square alone hosting hundreds of biotech and tech employers. The Route 128 corridor suburbs, including Waltham, Burlington, and Lexington, are also significant. Worcester has a growing healthcare and higher education sector worth targeting as well.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Massachusetts are specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the position. Common qualifying roles include software engineers, data scientists, biomedical researchers, financial analysts, civil engineers, and registered nurses. Roles where any degree field is acceptable generally do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter E-3 sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts by industry, role type, and employer. Beyond that, reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for Massachusetts filings identifies employers with active E-3 sponsorship history. Prioritizing employers in biotech, healthcare, and technology in the Greater Boston area will return the strongest results.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
