Which healthcare companies sponsor visas in New Hampshire?
Major healthcare visa sponsors in New Hampshire include Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Lebanon), Catholic Medical Center (Manchester), Elliot Health System (Manchester), Concord Hospital, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital. These systems frequently sponsor H-1B visas for physicians, nurses with advanced degrees, and healthcare IT professionals. Many also participate in J-1 waiver programs for international medical graduates.
How to find healthcare visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international healthcare professionals with New Hampshire employers who sponsor work visas. The platform filters opportunities by visa type and location, making it easy to identify hospitals and medical centers in Manchester, Nashua, and other New Hampshire cities that actively sponsor H-1B, O-1, and other work visas for qualified healthcare candidates.
Which visa types are most common for healthcare roles in New Hampshire?
H-1B visas dominate for healthcare IT, clinical research coordinators, and nurses with bachelor's degrees or higher. O-1 visas are common for physicians with extraordinary ability. J-1 visas serve medical residents and fellows, often through programs at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican healthcare professionals in qualifying specialty occupations like physical therapy and medical technology.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most healthcare sponsorship jobs?
Manchester leads with the largest concentration of healthcare visa sponsorship opportunities, anchored by Catholic Medical Center and Elliot Health System. Nashua follows with Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and regional facilities. Lebanon offers specialized opportunities through Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, while Portsmouth provides coastal healthcare options through Portsmouth Regional Hospital and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
What prevailing wage considerations affect healthcare sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire healthcare prevailing wages vary significantly between urban centers like Manchester-Nashua and rural areas. The Department of Labor's wage determinations typically reflect the state's higher cost of living near the Massachusetts border. Rural hospitals may offer competitive packages to attract international talent, while positions near Dartmouth Medical School command premium wages due to academic medical center status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored healthcare jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
