Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in North Carolina?
Several large staffing firms with North Carolina operations have H-1B sponsorship histories, including TEKsystems, Insight Global, Staffmark, and Apex Group. IT-focused staffing agencies are the most consistent sponsors, particularly those placing contractors with major employers in the Research Triangle and Charlotte. Sponsorship availability varies by firm, engagement type, and the specific client the role supports.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Raleigh and the Research Triangle (including Durham and Chapel Hill) account for the highest concentration of staffing H-1B roles in North Carolina, driven by the technology, life sciences, and university sectors. Charlotte follows closely, with demand centered on financial services and corporate IT. Smaller markets like Greensboro and Winston-Salem have activity but at notably lower volume.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship through staffing firms in North Carolina is most common for specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. This includes software engineers, data analysts, IT consultants, financial analysts, and clinical research associates. General administrative, light industrial, or non-degree roles placed by staffing agencies typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B eligibility.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for staffing and recruiting roles in North Carolina that are open to H-1B candidates without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. Given that sponsorship availability in staffing changes frequently based on client contracts, checking Migrate Mate regularly for updated North Carolina listings is the most direct approach for this industry.
Are there any North Carolina-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship through staffing firms?
North Carolina staffing agencies that place workers at third-party client sites must meet H-1B requirements for both the staffing firm as the petitioner and the end-client worksite, including prevailing wage obligations tied to the actual work location. Because many staffing placements in North Carolina involve on-site work at Research Triangle or Charlotte client offices, the worksite address and Labor Condition Application details are especially important to verify before accepting a role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
