INTRODUCTION
The Global Public Policy Analyst supports the development and advancement of PepsiCo’s global agriculture and food systems public policy agenda through rigorous analysis, insight generation, and policy‑focused research. The role sits within the Global Public Policy team and works in close collaboration with senior agriculture and environmental policy leads, the Global Agriculture Office, Sustainability, Supply Chain / Procurement, and market PPGA teams.
The role combines agriculture and food systems policy development with strong analytical and data capabilities, supporting the assessment of regulatory and legislative developments, policy risks and opportunities, and potential business impacts across agricultural supply chains. The analyst is responsible for translating complex policy, regulatory, and external data into clear, decision‑ready insights that inform advocacy strategies, policy positioning, and internal decision‑making. The role contributes to evidence‑based policy development by integrating data, research, and market intelligence into high‑quality policy analysis and executive‑facing materials.
Responsibilities
Agriculture & Food Systems Policy Support
- Support development of global agriculture and food systems policy positions aligned with PepsiCo’s business, sourcing, and sustainability priorities.
- Conduct research and analysis on agriculture-relevant regulatory, legislative, and political developments, including climate-, environmental-, and trade-adjacent issues affecting agricultural supply chains.
- Translate complex policy developments into clear implications, risks, and options for internal stakeholders.
- Support drafting of policy briefs, position papers, talking points, and executive-ready materials.
Analytics, Insights & Research
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess policy risks, opportunities, and potential business impacts related to agriculture and food systems.
- Analyze internal and external data sets (e.g., sourcing data, sustainability metrics, policy proposals, academic and NGO research) to generate insights that inform policy and advocacy strategies.
- Support development of scenarios, comparative analyses, and evidence bases used in policy positioning.
- Conduct peer and benchmarking analysis across agriculture and food policy issues.
Data, Visualization & Reporting
- Translate analytical findings into clear visuals, charts, and summary presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional audiences.
- Support recurring and ad hoc agriculture-related policy analysis and reporting needs using strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Collaborate with sustainability and data teams, as appropriate, to ensure analytical consistency and alignment across agriculture-related workstreams.
Cross-Functional & External Engagement Support
- Work closely with internal partners (Global Agriculture Office, Sustainability, Legal, Procurement, R&D, Strategy, and PPGA market teams) to support aligned policy development.
- Support engagement with external stakeholders—including NGOs, trade associations, academics, and policy experts—through background research and analytical preparation.
- Assist senior policy leads with meeting preparation, follow-ups, and coordination across multiple workstreams.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,700 - $135,100.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, agriculture, economics, environmental studies, international relations, analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in public policy, sustainability, agriculture, analytics, consulting, government affairs, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform policy or strategic decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, compelling materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated interest in agriculture systems, supply chains, and food policy, and willingness to develop subject-matter expertise over time.
- Experience working with agriculture, sustainability, or ESG-related data.
- Familiarity with legislative or regulatory processes related to agriculture, environment, or food systems.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or basic SQL.
- Exposure to global or multi-market policy environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally across complex organizations.
