Job Summary
Goodrich School is actively recruiting licensed and experienced candidates for a paraprofessional position providing academic and behavioral support to students in regular and special education classrooms across the building.
A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) paraprofessional engages in activities with regular and special education students which support and individualize the teaching-learning process in the district.
This is a 30 hour per week, benefit eligible position requiring eligible applicants to hold 48 college credits or to have a successfully completed one of the following Paraprofessional Assessments: WorkKeys ACT, Para Pathways Assessment, Paraeducator Master Teacher.
Qualifications
Successful applicants should have a desire to help others; good oral communication and listening skills; the ability to read and follow instructions; the ability to work cooperatively with children and adults and good time management skills.
Eligible applicants will need to have completed 48 college credits or successfully completed one of the following Paraprofessional Assessments:
- WorkKeys ACT
- Paraeducator Master Teacher
- Para Pathways Assessment

At the time of hire, the selected candidate will need to submit one (1) letter of recommendation dated within the last year and signed by the author and a copy of official transcripts verifying the required 48 credits or a passing score report on one of the three assessments.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The paraprofessional hourly wage starts at $20.39, and increases according to the set salary schedule based on previous years of comparable experience.
