ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
Our agency opened in 2003 and is a close-knit team of three who work together to serve our customers and community. Before becoming an agent, I worked in underwriting, which gave me a strong understanding of the insurance industry and how to properly help customers protect what matters most.
I’m a second-generation State Farm agent and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Finance. Insurance has been a big part of my family and professional life, and I take pride in continuing that legacy through our agency. I’m also an active member of the La Crosse Downtown Rotary, where I’ve been involved since 2005. Staying connected with the community and giving back through local organizations is something that’s very important to me.
We offer a Simple IRA, licensing reimbursement, and a strong focus on work-life balance. Our goal is to create an environment where people can build a steady, long-term career while maintaining balance outside the office.
Our culture is straightforward and team-focused. We’re looking for someone who is hardworking and motivated—someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a supportive, small team. If you’re driven and ready to contribute, this could be a great place to build your career.

Which insurance companies in Wisconsin sponsor H-1B visas?
American Family Insurance, Northwestern Mutual, and CUNA Mutual Group are among the most prominent Wisconsin-based insurers with histories of H-1B sponsorship, primarily for technical and analytical roles. Larger regional carriers and national insurers with Wisconsin offices, such as Unum and Sentry Insurance, have also filed H-1B petitions. Sponsorship activity can be verified through Department of Labor LCA disclosure data.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most insurance H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Madison is the center of Wisconsin's insurance industry, home to American Family Insurance and CUNA Mutual Group headquarters, making it the highest-concentration market for H-1B roles in this sector. Milwaukee follows closely, with Northwestern Mutual headquartered there alongside several regional carriers. Smaller concentrations exist in Appleton and Green Bay, primarily tied to mid-sized regional insurers.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the position. In insurance, this commonly includes actuaries (requiring degrees in actuarial science or mathematics), data scientists, software engineers supporting insurance platforms, financial analysts, and underwriting analysts with quantitative educational backgrounds. General sales or customer service roles rarely meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard.
How do I find insurance H-1B sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, industry, and state, making it straightforward to browse insurance H-1B sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin. Rather than manually screening hundreds of postings, you can focus directly on employers who have indicated H-1B sponsorship willingness in the insurance sector across Madison, Milwaukee, and other Wisconsin markets.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in Wisconsin's insurance sector?
Wisconsin does not impose additional state-level requirements on H-1B employment beyond federal USCIS rules. However, insurance employers in Wisconsin hiring for actuarial roles often expect candidates to be pursuing professional designations from the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society, which can strengthen a specialty occupation case. Employers must still file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor and meet prevailing wage requirements for the specific Wisconsin location listed on the petition.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B insurance jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
