INTRODUCTION

HF Sinclair is seeking a Project Manager in Casper, WY who will be responsible to coordinate and execute multiple Small Capital and Expense Projects simultaneously in the $100K - $2MM range, typically. Works on projects to improve plant profitability, safety, and reliability and provides plant, pipeline, and facility support for the continued reliable operation of existing equipment.

JOB DUTIES

• Participate in planning and estimating of future budget projects.
• Coordinate internal resources and third-party resources, as required, to execute projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and functional.
• Develop project scopes and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop a detailed project plan/schedule to track progress.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create, maintain, and store project documentation and records.

Special assignments for continued development and/or cross-functional training or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time, in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of five plus years of job-related work experience as a project manager or project engineer is required. Knowledge of or prior experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.

EDUCATION LEVEL

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, intermediate reading and writing, ability to prepare technical drawings and specifications, computer skills (including but not limited to: Excel, Power Point, Word, Auto Cad, and Microsoft Office). Design ability in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Instrumentation/Controls Design, Civil Design, Metallurgy. Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Supervise contract engineers and or construction crews on project by project basis.

WORK CONDITIONS

Office with occasional onsite visits, and with up to 25% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, and out-of-doors environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment and confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures, weathers, and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, climbing up to 25 ft, perceiving color differences, ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (beards not permitted), ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required. Job conditions may require lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs.
