VP Sales Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a vp sales in Wisconsin?
Reaching a vp sales role in Wisconsin typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, followed by a sustained career progression through individual contributor, manager, and director-level sales roles. Wisconsin employers in manufacturing, financial services, and enterprise technology prioritize candidates who have led revenue teams and hit growth targets in industries relevant to the state's economy. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, but an MBA strengthens candidacy at large Wisconsin-headquartered companies.
How much do VP saleses make in Wisconsin?
VP saleses in Wisconsin earn a median of about $134,870 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $76,330 for the lowest 10% to over $222,110 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire vp saless in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin vp sales roles are posted by Uline, Ayres Associates, and Rite-Hite and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Wisconsin's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional insurance and financial firms, and industrial manufacturers means vp sales openings appear across a wider range of sectors than in many similarly sized states.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most vp sales jobs?
Milwaukee, Pleasant Prairie, and Appleton have the most vp sales openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads because it hosts the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters in financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare technology, while Madison's growing enterprise software and life sciences sector drives demand there, and Green Bay's strong industrial and distribution base supports leadership hiring in that market.
Are there remote vp sales jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than many leadership roles, since vp sales work is fundamentally strategic and relationship-driven rather than tied to a physical site. About 47% of vp sales openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly companies are willing to hire for this level. Strategic planning, team coaching, and executive reporting tend to be the most remote-compatible parts of the role.
How can I get hired as a vp sales in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a strong record as a regional sales manager or director at a Wisconsin employer before stepping into a VP role. Companies like Fiserv, Oshkosh Corporation, and larger regional insurance carriers in Milwaukee and Madison regularly promote from within and run structured leadership development programs that identify high-performing directors for executive succession. Lateral moves from roles such as national account director or sales operations director are common bridges, and earning a Certified Sales Leadership Professional credential strengthens your profile for that next step.
Where can I find and apply to vp sales jobs in Wisconsin?
