Account Manager Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Utah?
Account management in Utah requires no state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field paired with relevant sales or client-facing experience. Most Utah employers, particularly in the Lehi and Salt Lake City technology corridor, look for candidates who have worked in SaaS, financial services, or healthcare IT. Earning a Certified Strategic Account Manager credential can sharpen your profile and accelerate hiring.
How much do account managers make in Utah?
Account managers in Utah earn a median of about $62,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,930 for the lowest 10% to over $131,030 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Utah?
Employers hiring account managers in Utah right now include MarketStar, GSK, and Axon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's concentration of high-growth technology companies along the Wasatch Front means account manager openings are frequent across both enterprise software and mid-market SaaS segments.
Which Utah cities have the most account manager jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Kaysville lead Utah for account manager openings. Salt Lake City draws the largest share because of its dense mix of enterprise tech firms, financial institutions, and healthcare organizations, while Provo and Lehi benefit from the high concentration of software and SaaS companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor that rely heavily on dedicated account teams.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 76% of account manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed work. Strategic and enterprise account management work is most commonly offered remotely, while roles that require on-site client visits or in-person relationship building tend to stay hybrid.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales development representative or business development representative role at one of Utah's many SaaS companies in the Lehi and Provo area, which are structured as direct pipelines into account management. Companies like Qualtrics and Pluralsight run rotational and new-graduate programs that build the skills employers require. Moving laterally from customer success, inside sales, or marketing coordination is also a common path, and completing a Salesforce administrator certification strengthens your application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to account manager jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to each position that fits.
