Chicology Inc. is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our accounting department.
The ideal candidate will have previous accounting or bookkeeping experience and a strong understanding of basic accounting procedures. This position will provide support across daily accounting operations, including invoice processing, financial recordkeeping, payment applications, account reconciliations, and e-commerce marketplace claims documentation.

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting Support
- Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping operations.
- Process and organize invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records.
- Assist with maintaining accounting files and documentation.
- Support account reconciliations and help identify discrepancies.
- Assist with preparing accounting spreadsheets and financial reports.
Accounts Receivable Support
- Assist with posting payments and maintaining records.
- Help review outstanding balances and payment discrepancies.
- Assist with researching deductions, short payments, and chargebacks.
- Organize payments documentation and supporting records.
- Assist with payment application and collections-related documentation.
Claims Support
- Assist with preparing and submitting reimbursement claims for lost, damaged, or missing inventory.
- Help track submitted claims and monitor reimbursement status.
- Maintain supporting documentation for claims.
- Assist with researching payment discrepancies and deductions.
- Help organize records of claims submitted, approved, denied, and recovered.
- Escalate unresolved claims and discrepancies to the appropriate accounting team member.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable experience is preferred.
- Experience handling deductions, chargebacks, collections, or payment applications is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with Excel formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus.
