Assistant Manager / Lead Sales Associate
Reports to: Store Manager
THIS ROLE IS PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERATING SALES. APPLICANTS WITHOUT SALES EXPERIENCE OR BEAUTY KNOWLEDGE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The Assistant Manager / Lead Sales Associate is responsible for driving in-store sales while delivering a high-touch, elevated customer experience. This role requires a strong ability to actively sell, confidently recommend products, and educate customers based on their hair care and beauty needs.
This is not a passive retail role. The ideal candidate is proactive on the sales floor, engages every customer, and consistently works to meet and exceed sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales through product recommendations, upselling, and customer education
- Deliver an exceptional, personalized shopping experience to every customer
- Maintain deep knowledge of all products and confidently speak to their use and benefits
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation standards are met
- Process and fulfill online orders (packing and shipping)
- Receive, organize, and stock daily inventory deliveries
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support Sales Associates on the floor
- Assist with training, scheduling, and daily team operations
- Provide performance feedback and support team development
- Participate in interviewing and hiring team members
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience (required)
- Strong beauty knowledge, specifically in hair care and textured hair products (required)
- Retail and customer service experience (required)
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods
