Completing a medical office management certificate through a Utah community college program, such as those offered at Salt Lake Community College or Utah Valley University, adds a competitive edge.
How much do business office managers make in Utah?
Business office managers in Utah earn a median of about $66,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $44,720 for the lowest 10% to over $105,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Utah's large healthcare systems, multi-site dental groups, and senior living operators generate the most consistent openings for this role statewide.
Which Utah cities have the most business office manager jobs?
Lehi, Nephi, and Murray have the most business office manager openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market through its concentration of hospital systems, corporate headquarters, and regional medical campuses, while Provo and Ogden draw demand from rapidly growing healthcare groups and the expanding communities along the Wasatch Front that rely on those employers.

About 0% of business office manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting a market where flexibility exists mainly for billing-focused or multi-site coordination roles rather than direct office supervision positions.
