Business Sales Representative Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business sales representative in Delaware?
Most employers in Delaware require at minimum a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field. Delaware does not mandate a state-issued license for general business sales roles, but candidates targeting financial product sales may need FINRA licensing, and those entering pharmaceutical or medical device sales benefit from life-sciences coursework. Building experience through inside sales or account coordinator roles at Delaware-based firms is the most common entry path.
How much do business sales representatives make in Delaware?
Business sales representatives in Delaware earn a median of about $67,540 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,920 for the lowest 10% to over $121,530 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business sales representatives in Delaware?
Delaware business sales representative roles are posted by JPMorganChase, CVS Health, and QPS Holdings and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major financial institutions in Wilmington makes it a consistent source of B2B and corporate sales openings year-round.
Which Delaware cities have the most business sales representative jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Dover are the Delaware cities with the most business sales representative openings. Wilmington leads because it hosts the state's densest cluster of financial institutions, corporate headquarters, and life-sciences offices, while Newark benefits from proximity to the University of Delaware research corridor, and Dover draws openings tied to state government contractors and regional distributors.
Are there remote business sales representative jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and they are reasonably common, since business sales work is largely phone and email-based and translates well to remote or hybrid arrangements. About 51% of business sales representative openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employer flexibility across the state. Account management and inside sales functions are the most likely to be listed as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a business sales representative in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role at one of Wilmington's financial services or specialty chemicals firms, where structured onboarding programs bring in candidates with strong communication skills rather than years of experience. DuPont and regional insurance carriers based in Delaware regularly post associate sales roles open to recent graduates. Earning a FINRA Series 6 or Series 63 license before applying also gives candidates a concrete edge for financial product sales positions.
Where can I find and apply to business sales representative jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to business sales representative jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings in one place. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, industry background, and preferred location within the state, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
