Business Sales Representative Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business sales representative in Florida?
Most employers in Florida look for candidates with at least a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a closely related field, though some hire based on demonstrated sales results alone. Florida does not require a state-issued license for general business sales roles. Candidates strengthen their candidacy by completing industry-specific certifications such as the Certified Professional Sales Person credential and building experience in a Florida-based inside sales or customer service role first.
How much do business sales representatives make in Florida?
Business sales representatives in Florida earn a median of about $60,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,550 for the lowest 10% to over $129,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business sales representatives in Florida?
Employers hiring business sales representatives in Florida right now include AT&T, ADT, and Sir Clean, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of corporate headquarters in sectors like telecommunications, healthcare distribution, and logistics means the market stays active for both mid-market and enterprise-focused sales roles year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most business sales representative jobs?
Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Florida account for the most business sales representative openings in Florida. Miami's large enterprise client base in finance, international trade, and healthcare drives demand there, Tampa's growing technology corridor and insurance sector fuel hiring across the Bay Area, and Orlando's hospitality, convention, and healthcare technology industries sustain consistent openings for sales professionals serving both local and national accounts.
Are there remote business sales representative jobs in Florida?
Yes, and they are more available in this field than in many others, since business sales work is heavily phone- and video-based. About 50% of business sales representative openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves digital prospecting and virtual client meetings. Inside sales and software-focused positions tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while field and territory roles still require regular in-person client visits.
How can I get hired as a business sales representative in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to inside sales development representative or sales associate roles, which large Florida employers like AdventHealth, Cisco's Tampa offices, and regional distributors use to bring in early-career candidates. A completed associate or bachelor's degree in business or marketing helps, and a Salesforce Administrator or HubSpot Sales certification adds visible credibility. Lateral moves from Florida-based customer service, retail banking, or account coordination roles are also a common and recognized route into business sales.
Where can I find and apply to business sales representative jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to business sales representative jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings from employers actively hiring. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your experience and location, and apply directly to each employer through the listing.
