Client Service Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client service manager in New York?
Most client service managers in New York start with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or communications, then build experience in account coordination or customer success roles. There is no state-issued license required for the general role, though certain industries add credentials: financial services firms often require FINRA Series 7 or Series 63 registrations, and insurance-focused roles may require a New York State Department of Financial Services insurance license. Building a record in a specific industry, such as banking or healthcare, is the most direct path.
Which companies hire client service managers in New York?
Employers hiring client service managers in New York right now include Gallagher, Paylocity, and Alliant Insurance Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of global financial institutions, insurance carriers, and enterprise technology firms means demand for this role stays consistent throughout the year.
Which New York cities have the most client service manager jobs?
New York, Buffalo, and Pittsford have the most client service manager openings in New York. New York City leads by a wide margin given its density of financial services, media, and corporate headquarters, while Buffalo and White Plains draw from regional bank operations, insurance companies, and mid-market professional services firms that maintain significant client service teams outside the metro core.
Are there remote client service manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and they are fairly common, since client service management is largely a desk and communications-based role. About 26% of client service manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the broad adoption of virtual client engagement tools across financial services and technology. Account review meetings and onboarding calls are the functions most consistently handled remotely.
How can I get hired as a client service manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a client associate or customer success coordinator role, which large New York employers such as JPMorgan Chase, Fidelity Investments, and MetLife use as structured pipelines into full client management positions. Candidates coming from adjacent roles in retail banking, insurance customer service, or administrative account support transfer well. Earning a FINRA Series 6 or 63 registration while in an entry role signals commitment and gives an edge in the competitive New York financial services market.
Where can I find and apply to client service manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to client service manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring across the state. Search by city or specialty to narrow results to roles that match your experience level and industry focus, then apply directly to the positions that fit.
