Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Manufacturing Engineer Jobs at AMETEK Jobs
Align your credentials to AMETEK's production context
AMETEK's manufacturing roles sit at the intersection of electronics assembly and precision hardware. When preparing your resume, map your experience to process improvement, yield optimization, or PCB assembly workflows rather than general manufacturing environments.
Target AMETEK's electronics division job postings
AMETEK operates dozens of business units, and Manufacturing Engineer openings vary significantly by division. Focus applications on units producing electronic instruments or electromechanical devices, where specialty occupation arguments for H-1B are clearest and engineering degree requirements are explicit.
Raise visa sponsorship after a technical interview
AMETEK's engineering hiring process typically includes a technical screen focused on process improvement methodologies and manufacturing systems. Wait until you've cleared that stage before discussing H-1B sponsorship directly so the conversation happens when the hiring team is already invested.
Understand how the H-1B cap timeline affects your start date
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with an October 1 start date. If AMETEK extends an offer outside the cap-exempt window, coordinate with their immigration counsel early so USCIS filing deadlines don't force a gap between your offer and your actual start.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate before applying directly
Use Migrate Mate to filter AMETEK's Manufacturing Engineer listings by visa sponsorship type. Seeing which roles have active sponsorship history helps you prioritize the right openings before investing time in AMETEK's full application process.

Find Manufacturing Engineer at AMETEK JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AMETEK sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers?
Yes, AMETEK sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers. The role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because it requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering. AMETEK's electronics and hardware divisions have used H-1B sponsorship for engineering talent, though individual hiring decisions depend on the business unit, budget, and timing relative to the H-1B cap cycle.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Engineer roles at AMETEK?
H-1B is the most common long-term sponsorship path for Manufacturing Engineers at AMETEK. F-1 OPT and CPT allow students and recent graduates to work while transitioning to full sponsorship, and STEM OPT extensions provide up to three additional years of work authorization. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican engineers in qualifying roles, and J-1 visas occasionally apply for exchange-based positions.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Engineer jobs at AMETEK?
Applications go through AMETEK's careers portal at ametek.com. Because AMETEK has over 30 business units, searching by job function and filtering for electronics or electromechanical divisions gives you the most relevant results. You can also browse AMETEK's Manufacturing Engineer openings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to identify roles where sponsorship is actively supported before you apply.
What qualifications does AMETEK expect for Manufacturing Engineer positions?
Most Manufacturing Engineer roles at AMETEK require a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering. Practical experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process validation is frequently listed in job descriptions, particularly in divisions producing precision electronic instruments. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to directly relate to the specific role, so roles with explicit engineering degree requirements are the strongest fit.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to H-1B, the critical window is the April USCIS filing period for an October 1 start date. Apply to AMETEK roles at least four to five months before your OPT expires to allow time for a lottery selection, petition preparation, and any USCIS processing delays. If you're in your 60-day grace period between jobs, that window does not authorize new employment, so your H-1B or new OPT must be active before your first day.
