Frame your credentials around P&L ownership
Carrier's Business Manager roles require demonstrable experience managing budgets and driving revenue in a manufacturing or industrial context. Quantify your impact with outcomes, not responsibilities, so hiring managers can immediately connect your background to the role's scope.
Target Carrier's HVAC and refrigeration divisions first
Carrier's core business units generate the highest volume of Business Manager openings. Filtering your search by division, not just job title, surfaces roles where sponsorship decisions are made by teams already familiar with the filing process for this function.
Understand how TN status applies to your situation
Canadian and Mexican nationals in Business Manager roles may qualify for TN status under the USMCA's management consultant category, which does not require an H-1B lottery registration. Confirm with Carrier's HR team early whether your specific role description supports a TN classification before accepting an offer.
Time your application around Carrier's annual hiring cycles
Carrier often ramps Business Manager hiring in Q1 and Q3 to align with budget planning cycles. Applying during these windows increases the likelihood that a role includes headcount approval, which is a prerequisite for any employer-sponsored visa filing to begin.
Clarify the LCA and I-129 timeline before your start date
Once Carrier extends an offer, the H-1B process requires a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the I-129 petition. Build at least three to four months into your expected start date to accommodate standard processing, or ask whether the company will use premium processing.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Business Manager roles at Carrier
Carrier posts Business Manager openings across multiple divisions and locations. Migrate Mate filters those listings specifically for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship, so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't support your immigration status.

Find Business Manager at Carrier JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Carrier sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, Carrier sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager roles. The company has an established process for employer-sponsored visa filings in this function. Because H-1B sponsorship requires USCIS approval and, for cap-subject cases, lottery selection in April, it's worth confirming sponsorship eligibility with the recruiter early in the interview process.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at Carrier?
You can search Carrier's careers site directly or use Migrate Mate to browse Business Manager openings that have confirmed visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific division and business unit, since Carrier's HVAC, refrigeration, and fire safety segments each have distinct commercial priorities that hiring managers look for in candidates.
Which visa types does Carrier commonly use for Business Manager roles?
Carrier sponsors H-1B visas for Business Managers requiring employer-filed petitions, and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering the role. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also qualify for TN status under the USMCA, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and can be processed more quickly depending on the role's classification.
What qualifications does Carrier look for in a Business Manager candidate?
Carrier's Business Manager positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, with experience in commercial strategy, P&L management, or product management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Roles in HVAC and refrigeration often favor candidates with familiarity in capital equipment sales cycles or channel partner management.
How do I manage my visa timeline when pursuing a Business Manager role at Carrier?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date before accepting an offer, since Carrier will need time to file an H-1B petition or, for STEM OPT extensions, verify E-Verify enrollment. For cap-subject H-1B cases, USCIS registration opens in March, so roles that start before October 1 may require a change-of-status strategy or a cap-exempt filing pathway.
