Align your credentials to U.S. equivalency standards
If your engineering degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation before applying. Celestica's Electrical Engineer roles require a clearly recognized bachelor's in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline for USCIS specialty occupation eligibility.
Target Celestica's hardware and manufacturing sites strategically
Celestica's Electrical Engineer openings concentrate around their advanced manufacturing and EMS operations. Search by facility location rather than just job title, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the site level by local hiring managers.
Highlight PCB, signal integrity, or systems design experience
Celestica's electronics manufacturing scope means hiring managers prioritize hands-on hardware experience. Explicitly matching your resume to their product domains, such as printed circuit board design or power electronics, strengthens your case during screening.
Clarify the PERM timeline before accepting a permanent residency offer
Celestica sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but the PERM labor certification process takes months before USCIS even receives the petition. Confirm with your recruiter whether sponsorship is initiated at hire or after a qualifying employment period.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Celestica openings by visa type
Not every Celestica Electrical Engineer posting explicitly states sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate filters verified sponsoring employers by role and visa category, so you can identify which openings are realistically accessible based on your immigration status.

Find Electrical Engineer at Celestica JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers?
Celestica's publicly available DOL records show H-1B filings for engineering roles, though their primary documented sponsorship pathways for Electrical Engineers include F-1 OPT, TN, and permanent residency routes via EB-2 and EB-3. If H-1B sponsorship is a priority, confirm directly with the recruiter during the offer stage, as sponsorship availability can vary by site and business unit.
Which visa types does Celestica commonly use for Electrical Engineer roles?
For Electrical Engineers, Celestica's documented sponsorship includes F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and employment-based Green Cards under the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. OPT and CPT support recent graduates in the short term, while TN and PERM-backed Green Card sponsorship are available for longer-term employment relationships.
What qualifications and experience does Celestica expect for Electrical Engineer positions?
Most Electrical Engineer roles at Celestica require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field. Practical experience in areas like printed circuit board design, signal integrity, power electronics, or manufacturing process support is valued given Celestica's electronics manufacturing services focus. Roles at the senior level typically expect several years of hands-on hardware design or systems integration experience.
How do I apply for Electrical Engineer jobs at Celestica?
Start by browsing current Electrical Engineer openings on Celestica's careers site, filtering by location and discipline. Before applying, verify that the specific posting includes visa sponsorship or confirm it with the recruiter early. Migrate Mate lists Celestica's sponsoring roles in one place, making it easier to identify which positions are accessible based on your visa type before you invest time in an application.
How do I plan my timeline around Celestica's visa sponsorship process?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you can start in a role while longer-term sponsorship is arranged, but your OPT window is finite. TN sponsorship can often be completed before a start date. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically takes well over a year from initiation to USCIS approval, so aligning your offer negotiation and status timeline early with your employer and an immigration attorney matters.
