Assistant Teaching Professor in Environmental Policy
Florida International University in Miami, Florida is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor in Environmental Policy in the Department of Earth and Environment. Duties and responsibilities include 90% teaching and 10% service, including:
- teaching four, 3-credit courses per semester in topics such as environmental policy, sustainability, resource management; and
- assisting the Department, College, and University by serving on committees, mentoring students, serving on student organizations, as well as providing service to the broader community.
Applicants will have the opportunity to develop new courses based on their expertise and policy curriculum needs of the department. The position requires a Ph.D. in any area of social science with a focus on environmental policy and sustainability issues or a closely related field. This is a 9-month position with opportunities for summer teaching.
