Frame your credentials around systems integration
Molex evaluates Engineering Program Managers on their ability to coordinate across hardware, software, and manufacturing teams. Document project experience where you owned end-to-end program delivery, not just one workstream, before submitting applications.
Target Molex roles aligned to your visa timeline
If your OPT or CPT window is narrowing, prioritize Molex openings in connector systems or cable assembly programs. These roles have recurring headcount needs and shorter hiring cycles than newly created positions, giving you a better chance of clearing the offer stage before your authorization expires.
Clarify LCA wage levels before accepting an offer
Molex files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before any H-1B petition. The certified LCA sets your minimum wage and worksite location. Review the LCA details carefully at offer stage so you know which wage level applies to your specific program management title and location.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles by visa type
Engineering Program Manager openings at Molex don't always advertise sponsorship explicitly. Use Migrate Mate to filter Molex postings by the visa categories they actively support, so you're only investing time in applications where your status is already a fit.
Prepare a degree equivalency analysis early
H-1B specialty occupation approval for program management roles can require demonstrating that your degree directly relates to the position. If your degree is in a tangential field, gather evidence of coursework and professional certifications before USCIS reviews your petition, not after an RFE arrives.
Confirm TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Engineering Program Manager roles at Molex can qualify under the TN visa category for Canadian and Mexican citizens when the position requires an engineering degree. TN status is employer-specific, so if you transfer to a different Molex program or site, work with the hiring team to file an updated TN accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager positions. The company files the required Labor Condition Application with DOL and submits the H-1B petition to USCIS on the employee's behalf. Because H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, timing your offer relative to the April filing window matters. Cap-exempt situations, such as a transfer from a previous H-1B employer, can bypass the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at Molex?
Apply directly through Molex's careers portal, where Engineering Program Manager roles are listed by business unit and location. You can also find and filter Molex openings by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where your visa status is already a match. When applying, highlight cross-functional program ownership, product lifecycle experience, and any manufacturing or supply chain background relevant to Molex's connector and cable assembly operations.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Engineering Program Manager roles?
Molex supports H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Engineering Program Manager positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship following for long-term employment. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican engineers where the role qualifies under that category's engineering provisions.
What qualifications does Molex expect for Engineering Program Manager positions?
Molex typically looks for a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary product programs. Familiarity with manufacturing environments, supply chain coordination, and stage-gate development processes is valued. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to bear a direct relationship to the program management duties in the specific role, which USCIS evaluates at the petition stage.
How do I think about timing if I'm on OPT and targeting Molex sponsorship?
If you're on F-1 OPT and receive an offer from Molex, your employer must file your H-1B petition during the April registration window for an October 1 start date. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you have a STEM OPT extension, confirm your OPT end date against the cap-gap rule, which allows you to continue working if your petition is pending or approved and your OPT expired after April 1.
