Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Medical Assistant Jobs at MultiCare Health System Jobs
Obtain a recognized Medical Assistant credential first
MultiCare favors candidates with a CMA or RMA certification from an accredited program. Completing your certification before applying removes a common early screening hurdle and signals clinical readiness to their hiring managers.
Target MultiCare's ambulatory and primary care openings
Medical Assistant demand at MultiCare is heaviest in outpatient clinics and primary care settings. Filtering your search to those site types increases your odds of landing a role where sponsorship conversations have precedent and workflow.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Medical Assistant roles at MultiCare
Search Migrate Mate to filter MultiCare's open Medical Assistant positions by visa type. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-emailing HR to confirm whether a posting is sponsorship-eligible before applying.
Clarify OPT and CPT timing with the recruiter early
F-1 OPT lasts 12 months, with a possible 24-month STEM extension if your program qualifies. Flag your authorization end date in your first recruiter conversation so MultiCare's HR team can assess whether the timeline works before extending an offer.
Understand that H-1B filing requires a specialty occupation case
USCIS requires Medical Assistant roles to meet the specialty occupation standard for H-1B approval. Ask MultiCare's immigration team how they document degree requirements for this job title, since the classification isn't automatic for allied health positions.
Prepare your credential evaluation before the offer stage
If you completed your medical or healthcare training outside the U.S., have a NACES-member agency evaluate your transcripts before MultiCare's offer process begins. Delays in credential recognition can push back your I-129 filing window significantly.

Does MultiCare Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Medical Assistants?
MultiCare Health System does sponsor H-1B visas, and Medical Assistant roles are among the positions where sponsorship has been extended. The key factor is whether the specific role can be documented as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field are better positioned, so the job description and your qualifications both matter when MultiCare's legal team builds the petition.
How do I apply for Medical Assistant jobs at MultiCare Health System?
Applications go through MultiCare's careers portal, where you can filter by role type and location across their Pacific Northwest facilities. Before applying, confirm the posting indicates sponsorship eligibility or contact the recruiter directly to ask. Migrate Mate also aggregates MultiCare's open Medical Assistant positions and lets you filter specifically for visa-sponsoring roles, which speeds up the screening process considerably.
Which visa types does MultiCare Health System commonly use for Medical Assistant roles?
MultiCare has supported Medical Assistants through H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. For new graduates, F-1 OPT is the most common starting point, with H-1B or Green Card sponsorship following for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and fit. TN visas are an option specifically for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations.
What qualifications does MultiCare Health System expect for Medical Assistant candidates seeking sponsorship?
MultiCare typically expects a Medical Assistant diploma or associate's degree from an accredited program, along with CMA or RMA certification from a recognized body such as the AAMA or AMT. Clinical externship hours are often required. For international candidates, foreign-earned credentials should be evaluated by a NACES-member agency before the offer stage to avoid delays in USCIS filing.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on OPT and targeting a Medical Assistant role at MultiCare?
Standard F-1 OPT provides 12 months of work authorization. If your degree is in a STEM-qualifying field, a 24-month extension may be available, giving you more runway before an H-1B petition is needed. USCIS H-1B cap filing opens each April for an October start date, so coordinate your OPT expiration date with that window when discussing timelines with MultiCare's HR and immigration team.
