Align your credentials to enterprise sales
Pure Storage Sales Manager roles emphasize quota-carrying experience in enterprise technology, ideally storage, cloud, or infrastructure. Before applying, document specific deal sizes, territory ownership, and revenue outcomes, these details directly support the specialty occupation case in your H-1B petition.
Target roles with defined territory structures
Pure Storage organizes its sales org by geography and vertical, including commercial, enterprise, and federal segments. Applying to a role with a clearly defined territory signals a structured headcount need, which tends to move faster through internal approval and USCIS filing than newly created positions.
Confirm OPT or CPT eligibility before your interview
If you're on F-1 status, verify that your degree field supports CPT or OPT authorization for a sales management role at a tech company. A business, marketing, or information systems degree gives you the strongest case when your employer later pursues H-1B sponsorship.
Ask about sponsorship scope during offer negotiation
Not every Sales Manager offer at Pure Storage automatically includes long-term Green Card sponsorship. During offer discussions, ask directly whether the role is eligible for PERM-based EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, so you understand the full immigration runway before signing.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Sales Manager roles
Filtering for visa-sponsoring technology employers in sales is time-consuming without the right tool. Use Migrate Mate to surface Pure Storage Sales Manager openings filtered by sponsorship type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a generic job board.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. If you're targeting a Sales Manager role at Pure Storage, aim to have an offer finalized by February so your employer can register you without missing the USCIS filing window.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Pure Storage sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Yes, Pure Storage sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Manager roles. The company has a consistent pattern of supporting visa sponsorship across its go-to-market functions, including sales. If you're in the H-1B lottery process or transitioning from OPT, Pure Storage is a realistic employer to target, provided your experience aligns with their enterprise or commercial sales requirements.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Pure Storage?
Applications go through Pure Storage's careers site, where roles are listed by segment and region. You can also find Sales Manager openings at Pure Storage through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before investing time in the application process. Tailor your resume to reflect quota ownership, deal complexity, and technology sector experience.
Which visa types does Pure Storage commonly use for Sales Manager roles?
Pure Storage sponsors several visa categories for Sales Managers, including H-1B, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 visa for exchange visitors. For longer-term permanent residence, the company has supported EB-2 and EB-3 pathways through PERM labor certification, which is typically available after you've established tenure in the role.
What qualifications does Pure Storage expect for a sponsored Sales Manager role?
Pure Storage generally looks for Sales Managers with a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, combined with a track record of closing enterprise deals in the technology sector. Experience selling storage, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS solutions is a strong differentiator. The specialty occupation standard for H-1B purposes is reinforced when your degree field directly maps to the technical sales function.
How do I handle timing if my OPT expires before my H-1B is approved?
If you have a timely filed H-1B petition before your OPT expires, USCIS grants a cap-gap extension that covers your authorized stay and, if applicable, your work authorization through September 30. Pure Storage's HR and immigration team should be looped in early so the I-129 petition is filed before your OPT end date, avoiding any gap in employment authorization.
