Customer Experience Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer experience manager in Tennessee?
Customer experience manager roles in Tennessee do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications combined with progressive experience in customer-facing roles. Tennessee-based employers in healthcare, retail, and logistics often promote from within, so starting in a customer service coordinator or account manager role at a large Nashville or Memphis employer is a common and realistic path.
Which companies hire customer experience managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring customer experience managers in Tennessee right now include Grails & Glory, Oracle, and JCPenney, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Tennessee's mix of major healthcare systems, national retailers headquartered in the state, and large logistics operations means consistent demand for this role across multiple industries.
Which Tennessee cities have the most customer experience manager jobs?
Nashville, Lebanon, and Clarksville have the most customer experience manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville dominates because of its dense concentration of healthcare corporations, financial services firms, and corporate headquarters, while Memphis draws demand from logistics and distribution giants with large customer operations, and Knoxville reflects growth in retail and regional business services.
Are there remote customer experience manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since customer experience work is largely desk-based and data-driven. About 44% of customer experience manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly this role translates to distributed work. Program management, voice-of-customer analysis, and digital journey strategy are the sub-areas most commonly offered in fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a customer experience manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a customer service team lead or associate coordinator role at a large Tennessee employer and building toward a manager title internally. HCA Healthcare, FedEx, and Dollar General all run structured development programs that move high-performing frontline staff into operations and experience management tracks. Earning a Certified Customer Experience Professional credential and building a portfolio of measurable service improvements strengthens any application for a first formal manager role.
Where can I find and apply to customer experience manager jobs in Tennessee?
