Field Operations Specialist Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field operations specialist in Ohio?
Most Ohio employers expect a bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, business administration, or a related technical field alongside relevant field experience. Ohio does not require a state-issued license specific to the field operations specialist title, but roles in utilities or energy infrastructure may require an Ohio-recognized credential through the relevant sector regulator. Building experience in field service coordination, logistics, or industrial operations and earning a project management or operations certification strengthens a candidacy significantly.
Which companies hire field operations specialists in Ohio?
Ohio field operations specialist roles are posted by DICK'S Sporting Goods and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Ohio's concentration of logistics hubs, utility providers, and large manufacturers means hiring is ongoing rather than seasonal across much of the state.
Which Ohio cities have the most field operations specialist jobs?
North Olmsted, Avon, and Akron lead Ohio in field operations specialist openings. Columbus draws the highest volume as the state's logistics and corporate headquarters center, while Cleveland's industrial base and Cincinnati's manufacturing and distribution corridors support steady demand in those metros as well.
How can I get hired as a field operations specialist in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a field service coordinator or operations associate role, which large Ohio employers in logistics, utilities, and manufacturing use as a feeder position. Companies like American Electric Power and major Columbus-area distribution operators regularly hire candidates from adjacent roles such as dispatch coordinator, facilities technician, or supply chain analyst. Earning a Certified Operations Manager designation or completing an Ohio-based operations management certificate program at a state university system campus gives candidates a measurable credential edge without prior specialist experience.
Where can I find and apply to field operations specialist jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to field operations specialist jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
