Field Operations Specialist Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field operations specialist in South Carolina?
Most employers in South Carolina hire field operations specialists with a bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain, engineering technology, or a related field, combined with hands-on site or logistics experience. No single state-issued license governs the role broadly, but positions in utilities or construction often require an OSHA 30-hour certification and, for some regulated environments, additional South Carolina contractor or safety credentials. Building experience through coordinator or dispatcher roles at manufacturing or logistics employers in the Upstate or Lowcountry regions is the most common path.
Which companies hire field operations specialists in South Carolina?
South Carolina field operations specialist roles are posted by DICK'S Sporting Goods and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. South Carolina's manufacturing and defense base, especially in the Charleston and Upstate corridors, means a steady pipeline of openings at both large multinationals and regional contractors.
Which South Carolina cities have the most field operations specialist jobs?
Summerville, Anderson, and Bluffton consistently lead for field operations specialist openings in South Carolina. Columbia anchors state agency and utilities hiring, Charleston drives demand through port logistics, aerospace, and defense contracting, and Greenville and Spartanburg benefit from the dense Upstate manufacturing corridor that includes automotive and industrial suppliers.
How can I get hired as a field operations specialist in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through operations coordinator, dispatch, or facilities assistant roles at South Carolina's large manufacturing and logistics employers, where structured on-the-job training is common. Companies in the Upstate automotive supply chain and Lowcountry port and aerospace sectors regularly bring on associates without direct field experience if they hold an OSHA 10-hour card and a degree in a related field. Completing a South Carolina Technical College System program in industrial management or supply chain also signals readiness to local employers and shortens the path to a specialist title.
Where can I find and apply to field operations specialist jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to field operations specialist jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and target location, and apply directly through each listing.
