Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented, and people-focused HR professional to provide critical administrative and operational support to our Regional HR team. This role partners closely with four HR Business Partners, supporting both the Ball Memorial and Fort Wayne service areas. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for HR who is eager to grow, take ownership of their work, and contribute to a highly engaged, team-oriented culture.

Reports to: Director, HR – Regional
Direct reports: None
Shift: Full time, Monday – Friday, onsite
Location: Muncie IN - Ball Memorial Hospital
The Scope:
This role supports Regional HR operations across the Ball Memorial and Fort Wayne service areas, including:
- Providing HR administrative support to four HRBPs and one Onboarding Consultant
- Managing reports, spreadsheets, and special projects involving complex, high-volume data
- Assisting with process implementation for programs such as primary service verification and license tracking
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of employee data and sensitive HR matters
- Delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external customers
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- One to three years of job-related experience in a confidential environment preferred.
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
- Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR regulations and laws (e.g., FLSA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong computer fluency across multiple platforms required; experience with scheduling or education management systems is preferred.
