About the Role
Christian and Associates, LLC is a local American Family Insurance agency in Manitowoc, WI. We are looking for an Insurance Sales Representative who enjoys talking with people, building relationships, and turning conversations into new business.
This is primarily a sales position. You will work with prospective and current customers to understand what they need, prepare insurance quotes, explain coverage options, follow up on opportunities, and close new business.
Insurance experience is preferred, but it is not required. If you have a strong sales or customer service background and we believe you are the right fit, we are willing to pay for the licensing needed to begin your insurance career.
What You’ll Do
- Work with new prospects and existing customers to identify insurance needs.
- Quote and sell auto, home, renters, umbrella, life, and other insurance products.
- Respond to inbound leads and quote requests.
- Make outbound calls and follow up with prospective customers.
- Follow up consistently on open quotes instead of waiting for customers to call back.
- Explain coverage limits, deductibles, discounts, and policy options in clear language.
- Look for opportunities to protect customers with additional coverage when appropriate.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, quotes, and follow-ups.
- Work toward specific monthly sales and production goals.
- Document customer conversations and activity in our agency systems.
What We’re Looking For
- An active Wisconsin Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred, but not required.
- If you are not currently licensed, we will consider the right candidate and pay for the licensing process.
- Previous insurance experience is helpful, but sales ability and willingness to learn are more important.
- You need to be comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and asking for the sale.
- You should be comfortable following up with a prospect more than once.
- You need to stay organized when managing multiple customers and open quotes.
- You should be comfortable having your sales results measured against defined production goals.
- You need to communicate clearly with customers by phone, email, text, and in person.
Compensation
We are open to different compensation structures based on experience, licensing, and the type of opportunity that makes sense for both the candidate and our agency.
Compensation options may include base salary plus commission or a more commission-focused structure. We will discuss the structure, expectations, and earning opportunity during the interview process.
Why Work With Us
Christian and Associates is a local agency. You will work directly with the agency owner and staff in our Manitowoc office.
You won’t be limited to simply taking quote requests. We want someone who can develop relationships, find opportunities, follow through, and build a book of business.
For someone new to insurance, we are willing to invest in licensing and training. For someone with insurance or sales experience, we are open to discussing a compensation structure that reflects what you bring to the position.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Tuition reimbursement
Work Location: In person

Insurance Sales Representative Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an insurance sales representative in Wisconsin?
You must obtain a Wisconsin insurance producer license through the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance before selling policies in the state. The path starts with completing a state-approved pre-licensing course in your chosen line of authority, such as Property and Casualty or Life and Health, then passing the corresponding Wisconsin licensing exam administered by Pearson VUE. A background check is also required. Most employers expect at least a high school diploma, and a bachelor's degree in business or finance strengthens your candidacy at larger carriers and agencies.
Which companies hire insurance sales representatives in Wisconsin?
Employers hiring insurance sales representatives in Wisconsin right now include State Farm, The Grumley Agency, and Farmers Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Wisconsin is home to several carrier headquarters, which means many openings are direct-hire rather than staffing placements, giving candidates stable, long-term positions with established companies.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most insurance sales representative jobs?
Colfax, Racine, and Baldwin have the most insurance sales representative openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads because it anchors the state's financial services and commercial business activity, while Madison benefits from state government and university-adjacent insurance demand, and Green Bay's concentration of manufacturing and agricultural employers drives steady commercial lines hiring across the Fox Valley.
Are there remote insurance sales representative jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based fields because client relationship-building and local prospecting are central to most insurance sales roles. About 29% of insurance sales representative openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to focus on inbound renewals, telesales, or national account service rather than territory-based new business development.
How can I get hired as an insurance sales representative in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining an independent agency or a career agency program at a Wisconsin-based carrier such as American Family Insurance or Northwestern Mutual, both of which run structured new-agent programs that pair licensing support with mentored sales training. Candidates coming from retail, banking, or customer service roles transfer well because consultative selling and client communication skills overlap directly. Earning your Wisconsin producer license before applying, even without a job offer in hand, signals seriousness and removes a common hiring barrier at smaller independent agencies.
Where can I find and apply to insurance sales representative jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to insurance sales representative jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from carriers, independent agencies, and brokerages across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your license type, experience level, and preferred location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
