Marketing Manager Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Missouri?
Marketing manager is not a licensed profession in Missouri, so there is no state board exam or registration required. Most employers hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business combined with progressive experience in marketing roles. Building a portfolio of campaign results, earning a recognized credential such as a Professional Certified Marketer designation, and gaining experience with analytics and CRM tools are the most reliable ways to advance into management in the Missouri market.
How much do marketing managers make in Missouri?
Marketing managers in Missouri earn a median of about $130,550 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $76,160 for the lowest 10% to over $226,700 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Missouri?
Employers hiring marketing managers in Missouri right now include H&R Block, Leaf Home, and Central Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional healthcare systems, and established financial services firms creates steady year-round demand for experienced marketing managers.
Which Missouri cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
The cities with the most marketing manager openings in Missouri are St. Louis, Kansas City, and Missouri. Kansas City and St. Louis drive the majority of postings because they concentrate the state's largest corporate headquarters, healthcare networks, and financial institutions, while Springfield adds volume as the retail and regional hub of southwest Missouri.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 60% of marketing manager openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves digital tools and collaborative software rather than a physical workspace. Strategy, content development, and performance reporting are the functions most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to start in a coordinator or specialist role at a Missouri employer, build measurable campaign results, and move into management within two to three years. Large Kansas City and St. Louis employers in consumer goods, healthcare, and financial services regularly hire marketing coordinators and analysts as stepping-stone roles. A strong portfolio demonstrating real campaign outcomes, a Professional Certified Marketer credential, or graduate study at a Missouri institution such as the University of Missouri or Saint Louis University can accelerate that progression.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, identify the roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
