Sales Account Manager Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales account manager in Missouri?
Most Missouri employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field as the baseline for a sales account manager role. Missouri does not issue a state license for general sales account managers, so hiring decisions focus on demonstrated sales experience, familiarity with a CRM platform, and industry knowledge relevant to the employer's vertical. Candidates entering technology, healthcare, or financial services sales often strengthen their profile with vendor certifications or a Certified Sales Professional credential.
How much do sales account managers make in Missouri?
Sales account managers in Missouri earn a median of about $115,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,920 for the lowest 10% to over $223,340 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales account managers in Missouri?
Employers hiring sales account managers in Missouri right now include Paycom, VitalCaring, and ProSource Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters in St. Louis, major healthcare systems, and a strong manufacturing corridor means openings appear across a wide range of industries and deal sizes.
Which Missouri cities have the most sales account manager jobs?
Kansas City, Springfield, and St. Louis are the Missouri cities with the most sales account manager openings. St. Louis leads because of its density of corporate headquarters, healthcare networks, and technology firms, while Kansas City's logistics, financial services, and telecommunications employers drive consistent hiring, and Springfield draws openings from regional distributors and healthcare organizations anchored by companies like Bass Pro Shops and CoxHealth.
Are there remote sales account manager jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than most fields, given that account management often centers on phone calls, video meetings, and CRM work that travels easily off-site. About 50% of sales account manager openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broad employer comfort with distributed sales teams. Territory-based roles requiring regular client visits tend to stay in-person, while inside sales and national account management positions are the most likely to offer fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a sales account manager in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or business development representative role, which Missouri employers like Emerson Electric, World Wide Technology, and larger healthcare systems use as structured on-ramps into full account management. Candidates from customer service, retail banking, or insurance backgrounds are frequently recruited because the client-facing fundamentals transfer directly. Completing a Salesforce or HubSpot certification before applying signals CRM readiness and gives an edge over candidates who list only classroom experience.
Where can I find and apply to sales account manager jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to sales account manager jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings updated on an ongoing basis. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
