Jake Greco Farmers Insurance Agency — Blue Springs, MO
JOB DESCRIPTION
We're hiring a part-time Sales Development Representative to make the first call. You'll reach out to prospective clients, confirm their information, understand what coverage they currently carry, and hand off qualified conversations to our licensed producers.
You are not selling policies and you don't need a license to start. You are the front of the funnel: dials, conversations, and clean handoffs. If you do that well, everything downstream works.
Twenty or more hours a week, with a consistent schedule you and we set together. Good fit if you're building toward something — a student, a parent working around school hours, or someone testing whether insurance is a career worth pursuing. No insurance experience required. We train.
Compensation $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. At 20 hours a week that's roughly $340 to $400 weekly before bonus; more hours are available for the right person. Monthly bonus is paid on appointments held and policies issued from your handoffs. Our bonus structure is published and we'll walk you through the exact math in the interview — no guessing. We'd rather show you the plan up front than promise a number you can't verify.
What We Offer Paid, hands-on training from day one. A weekday schedule with no weekends and no major holidays. Flexible shift blocks within business hours. Weekly coaching from a producer who does the job you're feeding. And real advancement — this seat is how people get into the industry.
Location and Schedule In-office at our Blue Springs location, 807 W Main St, Suite B, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Shifts fall Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST. We'll build a set weekly schedule with you.
Career Path SDR is the entry point, not the ceiling. Months one through three, you learn the phone — our scripts, our CRM, our products — and we watch consistency more than results. Months three through six, you own your numbers: you know the objections, you're setting appointments that hold, and you're picking up the language of coverage from listening to producers work your handoffs. Beyond that, you choose a lane. Representatives who perform can move toward a Licensed Sales Producer seat, where you write business and earn commission, or a Client Service role supporting the book directly. Both are full-time, both pay meaningfully more, and we'll support the licensing when you're ready for it.
Plenty of people in this business started on exactly this kind of phone seat. This is a real on-ramp, not a dead end.

Sales Development Representative Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales development representative in Missouri?
No state-issued license is required to work as a sales development representative in Missouri. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, though some hire candidates with an associate degree and strong communication skills. Building familiarity with CRM tools and completing a sales bootcamp or internship at a Kansas City or St. Louis employer strengthens your candidacy considerably when competing for entry-level roles.
How much do sales development representatives make in Missouri?
Sales development representatives in Missouri earn a median of about $60,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $32,940 for the lowest 10% to over $122,830 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales development representatives in Missouri?
Companies currently hiring sales development representatives in Missouri include Denver Mattress, Netskope, and Farmers Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's concentration of health technology, financial services, and enterprise software firms means SDR openings appear consistently across both the Kansas City and St. Louis metro areas.
Which Missouri cities have the most sales development representative jobs?
Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield post the most sales development representative openings in Missouri. Kansas City leads because of its dense cluster of SaaS, health technology, and financial services firms, while St. Louis draws volume from large corporate headquarters like Centene and Edward Jones, which run ongoing SDR hiring programs throughout the year.
Are there remote sales development representative jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than most fields, because sales development work is phone- and email-driven and doesn't require a physical presence with customers. About 50% of sales development representative openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broad employer flexibility in this role. Fully remote positions are most common in enterprise SaaS and technology companies with distributed sales teams.
How can I get hired as a sales development representative in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to associate SDR or business development representative roles at Missouri-based technology and financial services firms, which regularly onboard candidates without prior sales experience. Companies like World Wide Technology in St. Louis and Garmin in the Kansas City area run structured sales development programs. Moving laterally from customer service or retail roles is a common door-opener, and completing a recognized sales certification gives your application a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to sales development representative jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to sales development representative jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, experience level, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No sign-up is required to see the openings.
