About Krea
At Krea, we are building next-generation AI creative tools. We're dedicated to making AI intuitive and controllable for creatives — our mission is to build tools that empower human creativity, not replace it. We believe AI is a new medium that allows us to express ourselves through various formats — text, images, video, sound, and even 3D. We're building better, smarter, and more controllable tools to harness this medium. We've raised over $83M and are backed by world-class Silicon Valley investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Bain Capital. We work full-time and in-person at our waterfront office in San Francisco. We care deeply about creativity — our team includes musicians, designers, visual artists, and engineers.
About The Role
We're hiring our first SDR to help build the enterprise motion from the ground up. You'll work directly with studios, agencies, brands, and innovation teams — generating pipeline and laying the foundation for a repeatable, scalable sales process. We're especially looking for people who genuinely understand creative workflows and want to grow with us as we build out the sales function.
- Conduct research to identify and prioritize target accounts across studios, agencies, brands, and innovation teams.
- Run outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate pipeline and book meetings for the sales team.
- Craft personalized outreach that speaks to how creatives actually work - referencing real workflows, tools, and pain points rather than generic pitches.
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine messaging and outreach strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in outbound sales, business development, or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and outbound sequencing.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, you own your numbers.
- A genuine interest in the creative AI space; bonus if you've used Krea.
- Experience in SaaS or a tech startup is a plus.
What we offer
- Openness to sponsoring international candidates (STEM OPT, OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3).
- Work alongside a world-class team building the future of AI creative tooling.
- Significant scope and company-wide impact from day one.
- Competitive compensation (75th percentile of market) with meaningful equity.

Sales Development Representative Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales development representative in California?
California does not require a state-issued license for sales development representatives in most industries. The typical path involves completing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, then applying to entry-level SDR or BDR roles at California tech, SaaS, or professional services firms. Completing a structured sales bootcamp or earning a recognized sales certification can strengthen early applications and help candidates stand out in California's competitive hiring market.
How much do sales development representatives make in California?
Sales development representatives in California earn a median of about $80,850 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,240 for the lowest 10% to over $168,720 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales development representatives in California?
Employers hiring sales development representatives in California right now include Northwestern Mutual, State Farm, and First American, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's dense concentration of SaaS headquarters, enterprise software companies, and high-growth fintech firms means consistent openings across the state throughout the year.
Which California cities have the most sales development representative jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento have the most sales development representative openings in California. San Francisco and San Jose drive volume through their dense cluster of SaaS and cloud technology headquarters, Los Angeles pulls demand from media tech, fintech, and a broad B2B services sector, and San Diego contributes steadily through its cybersecurity and life sciences software companies.
Are there remote sales development representative jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 17% of sales development representative openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the role's phone-and-screen nature. Outbound prospecting, email sequencing, and CRM work are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely, while team onboarding and quota reviews often keep hybrid schedules in place.
How can I get hired as a sales development representative in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to SDR associate or BDR programs at California-based SaaS companies, many of which hire recent graduates with no sales background and train them on process and tools. Salesforce, Oracle, and mid-size Bay Area software firms run structured new-grad cohorts that start with inbound lead qualification before moving to outbound. Lateral moves from customer success, retail, or account coordination roles are common and well-regarded. Completing a California sales bootcamp or earning a HubSpot or Salesforce certification gives candidates a concrete edge when competing against others with similar experience levels.
Where can I find and apply to sales development representative jobs in California?
